Asher, 2014

This dear lad is a clear favourite with so many volunteers and the shelter team alike. He came from the public shelter via another rescuer and has been in our care for more than a year. Asher is a kind and gentle lad who has had no bother meeting other dogs when out walking. He causes no upsets in his pen either. He is just looking for a quiet life.

Asher is on medication for a heart murmur. BMDR would support him on an ongoing basis and a permanent foster home is a possibility too, if this would get him to a warm and soft bed. As with all our middle aged dogs, Asher is likely to lose years with great food and more opportunity for stimulation and exercise. We think he is GSD. He came from the public shelter with a collar on so was most likely dumped there when his owners decided he was no use any more. No use for what - we don’t know. Asher potentially could be an only dog but also it is usually easier for our dogs to come to a home with a resident dog to show them the ropes.
