Things have been hard for many of our adopted pups during the months of lockdown. Socialisation and access to training classes, which are an essential part of successful adoptions, have been hard for some owners. This has resulted in a few fearful teenage dogs being returned. These are dogs who had left as happy pups. Many adopters have worked their way around this, but for some it has not been possible.
Returned dogs is not something that is good for anyone, least of all the young dogs themselves.
As a small charity, manned by volunteers, this knock on, on so many levels, is a big one. With the support of our German partners, pups we have for adoption will go to Germany for the foreseeable future, until such times as lockdown ends for good in the UK.
Our adult dogs will be still be looking for forever homes in the UK.
