Benji, very small, July 23

Tiny Benji was taken in by us on our May trip. It then turned out he is the brother of two other tiny dogs, Hanni and Nanni. The owner had wanted to keep him but he lived a horrible life with a matted coat and sore eyes, in a stable. We took him on the spot alongside another small female dog, Bibi.

The volunteer team included Charley, a groomer. Benji soon had been cleaned up. His eyes too, one of which we thought was ulcerated, improved immediately. They had just been full of grot and hair. Benji is tiny, really small. We would prefer him to go with another small dog in the home as he is still a dog after all. He needs to do doggy things too. Bibi could be an only dog though, as long as he had access to doggy pals and plenty to stimulate his brain.
