We were recently able to take Darwin out from the hoarding situation he was trapped in for such a long time. Darwin is a dear lad. He is collie sized and collie coloured really but probably is a mixture of many breeds, perhaps with some English setter, somewhere back in his ancestry. Darwin is ready now to take the next stage of his journey and become someone’s dog again. Darwin was most probably abandoned some years ago prior to Carmen, the hoarder, taking him in. Sadly we don’t have any legal recourse to seize dogs from this hoarding situation but we can keep communication channels open and occasionally get some dogs out. We have limited space in our shelter so there are not many opportunities.
 
Darwin is around 50cms to the shoulder and is a calm dog in all situations we have placed him in. He can be a little shy to start but as soon as he knows you, Darwin is right up for attention. Darwin would probably find the transition easiest with another calm and friendly dog in the home.
