Feivel, March 2021
Feivel's story is typical of a a pup who had not been socialised by his Romanian owners then just dumped in the middle of nowhere when they got fed up with him. He came into Claudia's care last October.
These are her words of his rescue:
"We get a call - there's a poor dog on the highway in danger of being hit by a car any minute! When we got to him he was so terrified we couldn't get near him. But what gave us hope was the fact that he wasn't running. After more than an hour he hid under our car. The problem is he was trying to protect himself by biting! So I grabbed him when I got a chance and Cosmin caught him like a cobra! Poor boy is so scared and just skin and bones. First thing tomorrow is the antidote as the ticks weren't missing! He's 8-9 months old, 13 kgs heavy."
Feivel has become a loving boy with Claudia and Cosmin but would be very shy in a new home and would need as much time as he would need to adjust. He is bigger now and heavier too - approx 55 cms to the shoulder and a bit tubby, over 20kgs
Feivel needs:
another stable and laid back dog in his new home, to lean on
patient adopters with good, solid rescue experience
a quiet household.
