Ivy, 2018
Ivy and her dog sister Lily are looking for new homes due to a change in their owner's circumstances. Ivy was adopted in 2018, she was around 5 months old then. Both are much loved dogs, Ivy's exposure has been slightly limited.
We are seeking a long term foster or adoptive home for her, where there has been relevant experience and where adopters understood that time and patience were needed to support Ivy into her new life. Ivy's mum says that Ivy loves to sprawl out in front of the fire and that: ''Ivy is a trier, she can be fidgety initially, but she is especially lovely to someone in need of some comfort. They love their food and never shy from a biscuit or treat. Ivy watches out for things, and will bark to draw attention to new things, even if it's just a big bird in the garden or a field that has cows in it that weren't there the day before. However, neither were too fazed by regular things like the postman or people coming to the door.
Ivy would benefit with an easy going dog in the home to lean on and take comfort from.
Ivy's mum says that she loves to sniff and will happily while away time on a sniffing walk.
Ivy currently has some issues with reactivity, but these could ease in a new situation. She used to go out regularly with a dog walker ad several other dogs. Our excellent behaviourist would give full support from the outset, with this rehoming.
Both girls could be rehomed together if there was demonstrable rescue experience.
