Maria came to us after an appeal by a Romanian friend. Maria was abandoned, presumably as she was pregnant, or perhaps just after her pups were born. They were all beside a busy road and in such danger. Our friend then found a foster place for them all but sadly, every puppy died of parvovirus, despite veterinary intervention. Maria then came into our care. Maria is a very sweet-natured dog and is a firm favourite of volunteers when they visit from the UK. Maria is approximately 18 kgs and is around 53 cms to the shoulder. In a savvy home, she may be OK as an only dog but of course, another friendly dog in the home always makes things easier.
