Minnie is fostered in Scotland
Minnie has moved into a foster home where she is thriving. She is a lovely girl, who, through no fault of her own, has had to move home on more than one occasion. Minnie really needs a home where she can get her feet under the table and thrive. She is progressing well in foster, but these are early days and things take time. Given the moves Minnie has had in her short life, she is doing really well. We are so proud of her.
This is her foster mum's summary of Minnie after two weeks in her home:
"She is an absolute heart-stealer. She's got a wee cheeky side that we've just started to see! Loves to shake and squeak her bunny toy . You'll know when she wants a cuddle, she'll be flopped right on top of you. Belly rubs are her favourite. She definitely needs a home where she can get a bundle of love and attention. Absolutely loves a game of chase!
She hasn't played with our dog, but has played chase with us humans in an enclosed field. Her confidence will come with patience and commitment. She just needs someone to show her the world is fun and not so scary. Everything new gives her a wee fright, with gentle reassurance she becomes inquisitive to investigate. As much as she lives and has lived with other dogs, I can really see her settling and thriving as a companion dog for a single person or couple who can make her the centre of their world and give her the forever home she really really deserves.''
"New or sudden noises worry her. She's very cautious of people outside on the street. Due to our dogs slight reactivity on lead, we couldn't comment on her confidence meeting dogs but she was housed with other dogs in her previous foster home."
Minnie is a dear sweet little girl. We had taken her to our village house in Romania after another rescuer had dumped her in a local fosterplace and then failed to pay her care. At that stage too, we had to amputate part of her tail. Minnie's wee nose twitches a bit like a mouse's due to puppyhood parvo but you would need to look to really notice this.
