Samba is the girl we call the canal mum. This valiant young dog gave birth to her puppies after falling down the concrete side of a deep canal. Luckily for her there was a tiny piece of dry land on one side. Local people dropped food down to her until we came to her rescue. Ion and Vasile slung a rope round their waists and were lowered down. Samba is a dear girl who is a little shy to start. She would need another friendly dog from whom to draw confidence. Samba is a smiler! She stands around 49 cms to the shoulder and is lean built.
