Jenny and Sorley (1 year)

“Sorley is a huge character and full of fun. I liked the look in his eyes - a bit timid but clever. Not much is known about his background, except that he was abandoned in a park.

The adoption process was very easy with all the steps outlined and stuck to. The first time we met was amazing. Such a small bundle completely took over my heart immediately. During the first week he was unbelievably good. I had to stay in Inverness in accommodation for the first two days as he couldn't be delivered to our home on the Isle of Eigg, and although he was very timid and stressed by all the travelling, he behaved like a little angel and every day brought marked improvements in his self confidence.

The first few months were wonderful. We're working on getting him used to ignoring sheep and cows, but he's learning well and we both enjoy our walks when he can run free (which is most of the time) and his recall is getting better all the time.

Anyone thinking of adopting from Barking Mad Dog Rescue should go for it and listen to the advice offered by the staff - they are so good.”
