BARKING MAD DOG RESCUE

An update on BARNY! He’s finally accepting a wee bit of affection from Gea’s Mum. Aura has the magic touch and every dog comes around in the end 🥰 #newyearsdog

Barny - the dog found in a horrific condition on New Year’s Day - was at the vet’s surgery today. He is a very scared boy and was likely in a lot of pain and discomfort due to the horrible matts in his coat. The shelter team couldn’t get hold of him to examine him properly, so he needed to be sedated by the vet. It took a few hours and several pairs of hands, but finally Barny was looking more comfortable! He will be very tired and bewildered for a day or two, but we hope to

The boy we introduced you to on Monday is now called BARNY. He’s extremely scared and won’t let anyone touch him. Aura managed to trim some of the hair covering his eyes, but he’s too terrified and sore for a proper haircut. Barny has an appointment with the vet on Friday where he will be anaesthetised, and will finally have all those horrible matts removed. We think he will be a different dog, both in appearance and character, by the weekend 🙏 #newyearsdog

Say hello to BMDR’s first rescue of 2022. We think he was probably left for us to find him. He’s very scared and was hard to catch - he can barely see because his hair is so long and matted 😥 Next stop is the vet. He will need lots of TLC but seems a lovely dog.
