Contessa is another dog living with Carmen in what we call the SOS shelter, though in reality, it is Carmen’s home. She is one of over 100 dogs who had been taken in to safety and then not properly cared for over time in this difficult situation. When we found these dogs, Contessa had no hair at all. Contessa is an absolute sweetheart, though as expected, is a little shy of new people, having been in that house and garden for a long time. We have treated her and tested for blood borne parasites. We so hope she can now find a comfortable home to be adopted to. Contesa is just a little dog and wouldn't take up space. She would suit a quiet home with another sensible and friendly dog or in a savvy home as an only dog.
