Katy is a lovely young dog who came with the other young dogs from a Calarasi army base, to a friend's shelter. They didn’t have much chance of promotion, so we have started to take them, a few at a time, into our care. We believe these youngsters were handled as pups and most are keen to meet new people at the shelter, after a few minutes. Katy has been particularly friendly with volunteers. Of course, moving to a home takes adjustment and time. Katy would be most comfortable with another dog in the home, but with someone who would be home all the time, she would adapt in time. Katy is springer sized. She has no tail - none of her litter does and this is likely to be genetic.
