These lucky, lucky dogs were already loaded on the transport when the news from Eurostar came through and our transporter was able to get reassurances that their booking would honoured for the three coming to the UK.
Fortunately, for so many of the dogs we rescue and support, we have the backing of a superb, dedicated German team of rescuers, all volunteers, who are finding so many homes for the dogs. We are so grateful to Margarethe and her extensive network of good people.
ABIGAIL and LUCY left from Coca's shelter in Calarasi. These two wee shorty legged girls were part of a litter of six, born on the street and were to be taken to the public shelter. Coca intervened. They are heading to Germany. ANGUS, our disabled lad, is off to a fantastic home in Germany with a mum who has really good experience of working with these dogs. CHARLIE was saved by our other friend Coca N, as a pup, from the street. He will be a German citizen. ELENA was given to us by a family in the village who at last are going to let us spay their females. ELMER has been waiting ages for his turn. He came as a little pup from the ps as an add on to a litter who were a bit younger than him and his brother. Little GALAXY we rescued from the street in the village, as a tiny thing. She is heading to Germany. HARRY was rescued by kind tourists and brought to us for safe keeping when his saviours had to go home. He is coming to the UK. LOONA, the beagle, was picked up from a petrol station where she had been dumped. She is now a German girl. MAYA was alone at the bridge, where many dogs are abandoned in Constanta. Our friend found her and brought her to us. She is going to be a German girl now. MILA, this lovely puppy was found with her sister, Mica, at Corbu cemetery. This is a popular dumping ground in the city. PEACHES was brought to us in the village by some children as she was in season and was being harassed by male dogs. She too has packed her German phrase book. TOPAZ, tiny Topaz was wandering lost, obviously dumped, in our village. She will be snuggled up on a German sofa very soon.
Wave goodbye to Romania and say hello to your new lives, puppers. We love you!
