Travellin' Dawgs!

We have some lovely news to brighten up these unprecedented and rather gloomy times.

Thanks to our hardworking German friends and colleagues, 14 more lucky dogs have left for their forever or foster homes.

Despite various lockdown restrictions - they were able to bring these lovely souls to new homes across Germany and Austria.

These lucky ones are as follows:

ALANA, one of the five parvo pups from the field in January.

ALEX, dumped on the street with his wee girlfriend and puppy, at last leaving too.

BARNEY, dumped in March in Dorohoi.

HELLY, HAZEL, HARRIET and HEATHER, four little girls dumped at a few weeks old in a box in the freezing winter in Constanta city.

HELENA, abandoned and starving in Dorohoi in early April.

HOBBIT, dumped in Dorohoi in March.

JACK, dear jack, rescued by Claudia too, in Dorohoi and has waited so long for a chance. Off to foster in Germany.

JULIUS, abandoned with Barney.

MAISIE, our lovely Maisie, brought to us three years ago as a bald and scabby puppy a hoarder, FINALLY adopted.

SAMBA, the mum dumped in the canal whilst pregnant. She swam to a little island to give birth and we rescued this family from there.

ZELDA, little titchy girl, was adopted by Oana's neighbours but sadly her main carer passed away and she needed more attention. They kindly offered her for adoption in her best interests.

Safe travels sweethearts, we love you all so much.

About Barking Mad Dog Rescue

We are a charity that rescues and re-homes unwanted and abandoned dogs in Romania.

We are also often called to help beloved local dogs in need of medical attention.

Each day we feed over 800 dogs, and re-home several hundred dogs per year.

How to Adopt from BMDR

We are currently unable to adopt dogs out to UK because of the coronavirus pandemic.

However, we have been able to transport some dogs out to Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
